Commercial route planning guide

• Check AIP and airport website for the availability of the designated airport. (opening hours, PPR (Prior Permission Required), fuel, fees, etc..)

• Payload? Can the target payload can fit in without exceeding W&B limitations? Cargo-> is it dangerous good? Pax-> Passport control?

• Fuel? Is it sufficient for the whole trip? W&B aspect? Where can I refuel? Price?

• Check the route in regards of airspaces and terrain. Modify as necessary. (TMAs might be crossed with an entry and exit point but have an alternative circumnavigational backup also) Reminder: when leaving a country it needs to be done via a waypoint which is situated on or nearby the border.

• Max flight duty period? (ORO.FTL.205)

• Once the flight date has been established (at least a day prior):

  • • Contact destination and alternate airport's handling regarding of availability. In case of a military airport your instructor will do it.

      • • In case of any of them unavailable find a suitable alternative airport.

    • Inquire of the landing and handling fees. Card or cash only? Do they accept subsequent bank transfer by Fly-coop?
